Apostasy

LGBT spiritual community opening in Grand Rapids woodtv

“I was in a heterosexual relationship and a homosexual relationship — I’ve just realized that I’m a child of God. And it doesn’t matter where you’re at in your life, you’re loved,” Tenbrock said.

No one who is in Christ will be perfect until after we are with Him (1 John 3:2), but He demands repentance and turning from sin - not to stay where we are in the sins that put Him on the cross! That's not the fruit of one who has been made righteous by faith in Christ... 1 John 3:9-10

No one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God’s seed abides in him, and he cannot keep on sinning because he has been born of God. By this it is evident who are the children of God, and who are the children of the devil: whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God, nor is the one who does not love his brother.

NASA Ramps up Research on 'Humanoid Robots' for 'Extreme' Unmanned Space Probes inquisitr

NASA has ramped up its space research initiative aiming to launch more Humanoid Robots for designated extreme deep space probes in addition to assisting astronauts presently engaged in space. These developments would enable the space agency to undertake far more challenging unmanned space excursions with state-of-the-art robots taking the lead.

I wouldn't say this was the best written article ever, but worth a peek :)

CERN Is Seeking Secrets of the Universe, or Maybe Opening the Portals of Hell wsj

The European Organization for Nuclear Research, or CERN, is gearing up for another run at smashing particles together to unlock the secrets of the universe.

That means anticipating a new round of conspiracy theories that its real aim is to blast open a gateway for apocalyptic demons.

Listen...CERN is admittedly an odd organization at best, with a poor taste in art (or good, if you are into idols) and some really confusing theatre productions that are borderline ritualistic dances...and though the WSJ is rather sarcastic in their caricaturization of conspiracy theorists in this article, I have to say that the article caught my attention because it's largely, and unfortunately, true...even among professing believers who appear more focused on convincing people CERN is the Destroyer then they are on sharing the truth that Christ is Lord.

Scientists Grow Working Heart Muscle From Stem Cells industrytap

Researcher Jacques Guyette from the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Regenerative Medicine (CRM) said in a statement, “Regenerating a whole heart is most certainly a long-term goal that is several years away, so we are currently working on engineering a functional myocardial patch that could replace cardiac tissue damaged due to a heart attack or heart failure.”

Note that the trial only had 109 people, but still interesting. See also Stem cell therapy improves outcomes in severe heart failure

Utopia

What Will Cities Look Like, Be Like in 2050? industrytap v

The world’s current population is about 7.3 billion. By 2050, the population is expected to reach as high as 11 billion, or one and a half times the number of people existing today. New York City may blossom from 8.4 million today to 12.6 million in 2050, or New Delhi from 9.8 million today to 14.7 million. But cities aren’t going to grow proportionally to the overall total. Beijing, for example, is expected to grow six times the size of New York; from 11.51 million today to 48 million by 2050.

WORLDVIEW ALERT!!! :) Ok, this is largely a lot of nonsense, but there is a 45 min video included of some men's plans for the future to save us all (James 4:13), which is interesting. There is one reference to god near the end. Lowercase 'g' is appropriate here.

That link directly downloads the MP3. You can also go the Calvary Bible Church website, directly.
